KSA has said nothing more of this event; all they have said is that major updates are currently underway at the Kerbal Space Center. They said this will advance them forward a bit and give them more room to do whatever they want.

Judging by what they have said, it's likely that this is some expansion project of sorts. It's estimated to take some months.
